Egg Head Tempera
A fun new medium (for Me), used by the masters of old. Egg Tempera. Essentially egg yolk and pigment. This piece has brush marker lines on top of it.
Image Eye Optical A-Frame!
Next to my favourite sandwich/soup shoppe in Sugar House is a rad glasses boutique, Image Eyes Optical. I've been hankering for a new set of spec's, my ol' Burberry's were getting scratched up, my eyes were in need of a new look too. So..... I pitched a deal, and worked it out so we would both get a new look for our front and end up happy with a tax free trade of service and product.
Sign painting is a fun and at times mind stressing jobby (job hobby). This was the kind of sign that was fun to design, but painstaking to execute. Nonetheless, a week and a half of after school night work... and voila! the sign was ready to deliver.

New Bohemia Sign Painters Art show @The Summit SF
This week I drove out to San Fransisco to see an amazing group of sign painters show their work. The New Bohemia Sign painters as they are called, a small business owened and operated by Damon Styer. I have been following their work ever since my friend Leland Rowley showed me their work and suggested I work at doing my signs more professionally.. thanks Leland.
Last year they had two shows and this year marks their first major show of work. Here is how it turned out!
